What do we deserve?

Wealth?
Goods?
Homes?
Sleep?
Respect?
Health?
Understanding?
Freedom?
Comfort?
Anything?

... Just something I've been thinking about. Some answers seem so obvious, and yet...

I don't know. My mind is in conflict with itself. Where is the line of basic needs? And not just with materials, but with emotions and physical needs as well... and is that all God wants or expects us to have? Have we become so selfish that we have uped the standards? Even if we have uped the standards, is that okay with God... or even what he wants us to have?

Okay, I'll quit asking questions and just go think about these. :)

Wealth? No, remember the Bahamas - more live like that than like us
Goods? No, see above
Homes? No, just basic shelter
Sleep? No, not deserve, but needed for survival
Respect? No, always must be earned, except by the grace of God
Health? No, many don't have for totally inexplicable reasons
Understanding? No, except by the grace of God
Freedom? No

We deserve nothing and are given everything - air, water, sun and earth. Companions on the journey and God for the whole distance.

Life is but a vapor and then is gone - Solomon

God's grace has provided, we have received, and there is no deserving.
Comfort?
Anything?
